Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cameras on iPhone and iPad

Restricted access

Connection details to check

Documented connection
RTSP, RTSPS
Credentials
Obtain the stream URL and access requirements from the Protect administrator. Do not turn a UniFi account password into a guessed camera URL.

Prepare the camera

  1. Identify the Protect system serving the camera.
  2. Ask its administrator for the documented stream-sharing procedure for the installed Protect version.

Model and service limits

  • The port table lists 7441 for RTSPS and 7447 for RTSP, but provides no complete URL.
  • A Protect stream service is distinct from direct camera access; CameraViewer RTSPS support is not established.
  • No physical camera has been tested in CameraViewer. Manufacturer documentation does not establish app compatibility.

Your next step

Obtain the generated endpoint and confirm its protocol before evaluating a local connection.
